Finance officer hanged himself in office

Rajnandgaon. An officer of Chhattisgarh State Audit (Finance Department) committed suicide by hanging himself in the office of Regional Deputy Director, Rajnandgaon. The officer who committed suicide was posted as Assistant Auditor in this office. When other employees reached office hours this morning, the officer was seen hanging. There was chaos in the office. Basantapur police is investigating the matter.

According to the information received, the regional office of Chhattisgarh State Audit (Finance Department) is located in Bhavani Nagar of Rajnandgaon. Virendra Kumar Vaman was working as Assistant Auditor in this office. The said officer committed suicide by hanging himself in the same office room. After getting information from the employees, police reached the spot.

Police say that the reason for suicide is not clear. Police did not find a suicide note from the spot. It is being told that the said officer lived in a rented house in Club Chowk, Basantpur. He also has two children.
