FIR registered against land conservation officer, worker had tried to commit suicide

Sonbhadra. After the much discussed case of harassment of employees, the suicide attempt by a technical assistant, the police has also become active in the case. On Saturday, an FIR was registered against the Land Conservation Officer under various sections of the IPC at Chopan police station and investigation was started. The police took this action on the complaint of Senior Provisional Assistant Manish Pal. Other personnel have also accused the Land Conservation Officer of harassment and demanded action.

Let us tell you that late last Thursday evening, the technical assistant created a sensation by attempting suicide after sending a copy of the suicide note to his colleagues through mobile. The technical assistant was quickly rescued and brought to the district hospital, where after treatment overnight, he was discharged on Saturday morning. Other employees of the department also expressed their displeasure over the matter and submitted a collective complaint letter to DM-SP and others demanding action. It is said that in this sequence, the personnel of the Land Conservation Department reached Chopan police station on Saturday. There, a complaint was given by the Technical Assistant, taking cognizance of which the police registered an FIR against Land Conservation Officer Baljit Bahadur Verma under sections 504, 506 IPC. Inspector in-charge Chopan Vishwanath Pratap Singh said that the matter is being investigated.

In the suicide note that was made viral by Technical Assistant Manish Pal, it was said that all the employees of his office are efficient in their work. Yet no one is treated well by the land conservation officer. I am also repeatedly threatened with stopping payment. He has become discouraged by this. He no longer has any right to live in this world and he is broken… On the other hand, when departmental personnel Mohammad Ikran Khan, Ramratan Singh, Nitesh Kumar Kushwaha, Rakesh Patel, Vikram Singh, Vivek Singh, Manish Kumar etc. got information about this, they not only reached the house of the technical assistant and tried to save him. Rather, along with taking him to the district hospital for treatment, he also submitted a complaint letter to the top officials of the district demanding action.
