Fire blazes in hardware shop on Gangapur Road

Rudrapur. Late Thursday night, a fire broke out in a hardware shop located on Gangapur Road due to a short circuit. Within no time the fire took a huge form and on receiving the information, two fire tenders brought the fire under control. But by then the fire had destroyed all the goods kept in the shop. There is an estimated loss of lakhs of rupees in this fire.

According to the information, Phulsunga resident Harinarayan Vishwakarma has a hardware shop at Daksh intersection on Gangapur road. It is being told that on Thursday evening at 9 pm, the shop operator closed the shop after the work was over and around 10.30 pm, information was received that smoke was coming from the shop. The shop operator immediately reached the shop and took information about the incident.

On receiving information, two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control. But the fire had destroyed the hardware items kept in the shop. Shop operator Hari Narayan told that goods worth lakhs were kept in the shop. Most of the hardware items were burnt. There has been a loss of eight to nine lakh rupees due to the fire.
