Fire breaks out at a commercial complex in Hyderabad
Hyderabad (IANS). A massive fire broke out at a commercial complex in Habsiguda, Hyderabad on Wednesday. Officials said that there were no casualties.
Police said the fire broke out at around 9 am in a restaurant on the second floor of the four-storey building and spread to the garment showroom on the first floor.
Fire personnel brought the fire under control with the help of 10 fire engines.
Panic spread in the area due to the incident of fire. Police closed the nearby petrol pump as a precautionary measure.
The incident led to a traffic jam on the busy road connecting Uppal with Secunderabad.
Senior officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reached the spot and started investigation.
Earlier on Tuesday, a fire broke out in a cloth godown in Hasan Nagar area on the outskirts of the city. The godown of the two-storey building was gutted in the fire. There were no casualties.
