Fire breaks out in residential area of West Delhi, 8 rescued from house
New Delhi (IANS) | Eight people were rescued after a fire broke out in a three-storey residential building in West Delhi. An official of the fire department gave this information on Tuesday. Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said that the fire was reported in Subhash Nagar area around 11 pm on Monday night.
A total of two fire engines were sent to the spot, Garg said. The fire was brought under control within hours.
“The fire broke out in the electronic meter board which was on the ground floor and eight people from the first, second and third floors were safely rescued from the stairs and windows,” he said.
