Greater Noida: A massive fire broke out in a Volvo bus on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway on Wednesday. There were about 60 passengers in the bus going to Bihar who were going home for Chhath Puja. It was fortunate that people managed to get out of the bus at the right time.
The accident happened on Wednesday at around 3:15 pm. This accident happened in Sector 126 on Noida-Greater Noida Highway. When the bus was passing near Sector 96 underpass, it suddenly caught fire. This bus named Gorakhdham (number UP 53 GT 2907) had started from Sector 37 of Noida and was going to Siwan in Bihar. It is believed that the bus caught fire due to short circuit.
It was fortunate that the first people managed to get out quickly before the fire spread further. Many passengers were taken out through the emergency gate. The goods were also taken out quickly. Fire service vehicles reached the spot and extinguished the fire. Due to the fire in the bus, traffic on the expressway was disrupted for a long time.
