Fire broke out in a moving car, this is how the driver saved his life
Meerut: In Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, a moving car burst into flames on a Friday afternoon, prompting the driver to swiftly exit the vehicle and save his life.
The incident occurred near a CNG pump located under Modipuram police station, resulting in the car being completely consumed by the fire. Upon receiving information, the fire brigade team rushed to the scene and successfully doused the flames. However, the situation led to a temporary traffic jam. Following the extinguishing of the fire, a crane was used to move the burnt car to the roadside, allowing traffic to resume its normal flow.
Reportedly, Rajiv, a resident of Kirthal village in Baghpat, was traveling from Meerut to his home in Kirthal village when the Tata Just car he was driving suddenly caught fire near the CNG pump under Modipuram police station.
Reacting swiftly, Rajiv managed to escape the vehicle before the fire intensified. An official from the fire department mentioned that the initial investigation indicated a short circuit as the probable cause of the fire. The flames spread rapidly, reaching the petrol tank, necessitating the arrival of a fire engine to bring the blaze under control.
