Fire broke out in a shop in Tarn Taran
A fire broke out in a shop on the night of Saturday-Sunday, in which goods worth thousands of rupees were burnt and destroyed.
It is believed that the cause of the fire is short circuit. Shop owner Harjinder Singh said that he has lodged a complaint with the police. Harjinder Singh told that when he got the information on mobile phone, he reached the spot and left the shop. He opened the door of the shop but by then the fire was extinguished.
The local council and Patti bombers arrived at the scene and succeeded in controlling the llamas within four hours. DSP Tarsem Masih said that he has instructed the city police to take all necessary steps. Store owner Harjinder Singh said that the loss is estimated to be around Rs 10 lakh. However, no loss of life or property was reported.
