Firing in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu: An exchange of gunfire broke out between terrorists and security forces in Budhal area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said on Friday.

“A joint operation between the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police is underway in Behrot of Budhal in Rajouri district,” the Army said.

The firing started after a joint team of police and security forces received information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

After the security forces surrounded the area, the terrorists hiding there started firing, after which the security forces also retaliated.

In recent times, there have been several encounters between terrorists and security forces across Jammu and Kashmir, in which many terrorists have been eliminated.
