Five arrested for tearing the poster of CM Hemant Soren in Jharkhand
Giridih (IANS). The police have arrested five people in connection with the tearing of the poster-banner of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Dumri, Giridih.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s program was held in Dumri on Wednesday. In this, assets were distributed among 15 thousand people under various schemes. A few hours before the program, the Chief Minister’s poster on the side of the Dumri-Bermo road was torn down.
The district administration had lodged an FIR regarding this incident. Since then, the people who did this act were being searched.
According to DSP Sanjay Rana and Dumri SDPO Manoj Kumar, those arrested include Gajendra Kumar Mahato, Pankaj Bhai Patel, Dilip Kumar Mahato, Rajesh Kumar and Vijay Kumar Mahato.
It is being told that the five arrested accused have accepted their involvement in the incident. A case has been registered against all of them under the section of damaging government property, obstructing government work. It is being probed whether they have links with any political party or not.
