Five killed in road accident in Sirsi

Sirsi: Five people died in a head-on collision between a bus and a car in Sirsi near Bandala in Uttara Kannada district on Friday. The victims were taken to a wedding in Sirsi.

According to police, the passengers were traveling on Sirsi-Kumta road from Kaikamba in Dakshina Kannada district. At around 10:30 am, his vehicle collided with a State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus, which was coming from the opposite direction. While four people lost their lives, one died in the hospital. The deceased have been identified as Suhas, Pushpalatha, Vidyalakshmi, Ramakrishna Rao and Arvind.

A case has been registered in Sirsi Rural Police Commissionerate.
