Complete sleep is very important for good health. Due to lack of sleep, not only does digestion deteriorate, but many other diseases can also surround you. To stay healthy, one should take 7-8 hours of sleep. Due to lack of sleep, fatigue remains throughout the day. This also makes you irritable and you do not feel like working. For good sleep, calmness of the mind, right timing of eating and drinking, etc. are necessary. Ayurveda has given 5 rules for good sleep.

right time to sleep
According to Ayurveda, you should sleep at sunset and wake up at sunrise. Although, practically it is not possible in today’s time, but still you should try to sleep early at night. There should be darkness around while sleeping. Avoid light or any kind of light at this time.
How long before going to sleep have dinner?
According to Ayurveda, dinner should be taken at least 2-3 hours before sleeping. Dinner should be done around 7 o’clock. Dinner should not be done after this. Avoid having dinner late at night or eating some snacks. If you have late night dinner, there is not much gap between dinner and bedtime, then there can be problems related to digestion. Also, it can cause difficulty in sleeping.
Leave mobile a few hours before sleeping
Stop using mobile or any other device a few hours before sleeping. Stay away from the blue light of the screen after 9 pm. It can disturb your natural rhythm. Most people use the phone while lying in bed. This is not correct.
Correct sleeping position according to Ayurveda
According to Ayurveda, you should sleep on the left side. This can prevent gas, indigestion, indigestion and heartburn. People who have a problem with snoring can also benefit from sleeping on the left side.
sleeping during the day is not right
According to Ayurveda, sleeping during the day can spoil your health. In summer or when you are sick, you can sleep during the day. One should not sleep during the day when the weather or health is right. This can lead to an imbalance in all the three doshas present in the body – Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
