Raipur. Paddy crops have suffered huge losses due to the rains in the state for the last three days. If the weather continues like this, the problems of farmers may increase further. With this, paddy harvesting will be delayed by about 15 more days. In view of the rains, farmers have demanded compensation from the government and administration along with purchasing moist paddy.

On one hand, the harvested paddy crop is on the verge of getting spoiled due to water logging in the fields. There is a possibility of disease and insect infestation in ripe crops. Due to rain, the sprouted ears of paddy have started falling in the field itself.
