Bihar’s former deputy CM cum BJP MP Sushil Modi has made a big demand for employed teachers from Bihar’s Nitish government, saying that the employed teachers should be exempted from the BPSC exam. He has also demanded CM Nitish Kumar to call an all-party meeting on the issue of teachers. He has said that youths who have passed the eligibility tests should get appointment letters directly. The BJP has also been lathi-charged for the demand of employed teachers. He further said that Rs 16,000 crore is needed for new teacher recruitment and to give state employee status.
Former Deputy Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Modi said that the decision to give the status of state workers to employed teachers should be taken soon and the government should announce that employed teachers who have applied for the BPSC exam need not appear in the exam. Is. Sushil Modi said that BJP workers were lathi-charged and made sacrifices for the demand of giving government jobs to employed teachers without any examination, but till now the government has not done anything.
He said that on the one hand, the Nitish government is passing the time by pretending to discuss with the ruling parties, and on the other hand, it has also announced the examination schedule for the appointment of 1.70 lakh regular teachers through BPSC. Sushil Modi said that an all-party meeting should be called on the issue of giving status of state employees to employed teachers and a decision should also be taken on the issue of giving appointment letters to the candidates who have passed the eligibility test (TET/STET) without taking any other test.
He said that the central government provides only token assistance in the salary head, so the state government will have to make additional arrangements of Rs 11,000 crore for the appointment of new teachers and Rs 5,000 thousand crore for giving the status of state employees to the employed teachers.
