Former IAS Anil Tuteja will spend the night in Meerut jail
Raipur/UP Raipur/UP. Meerut court has sent retired IAS Anil Tuteja to jail for 14 days in Chhattisgarh liquor scam case. Along with Tuteja, the court has also sent Anwar Dhebar and AP Tripathi to judicial custody till July 29. Both were produced in the court by UP STF.
Raipur police took Anil Tuteja to Meerut on Saturday night. FIR has also been registered against Tuteja in fake hologram case in Uttar Pradesh. After this, Meerut court had issued a warrant for his appearance. On the other hand, EOW presented four accused in Raipur’s special court in fake hologram supply case. These include Deepak Duari, Amit Singh, Anurag Dwivedi and Prism Hologram Company’s state head Dilip Pandey. The court handed over all four accused on 3-day remand. The accused have filed an application in Allahabad High Court against the FIR registered in the fake hologram case. In this, the FIR registered in Kasna police station of Noida has been challenged. The Deputy Director of ED, who is investigating the Chhattisgarh liquor scam case, had lodged an FIR in Noida in July 2023 in the fake hologram case. The UP STF is investigating this case.
The FIR includes the names of AP Tripathi, Special Secretary of Excise Department and businessman Anwar Dhebar, retired IAS Anil Tuteja and Nirandan Das, the then Commissioner of Excise Department and Vidhu Gupta, director of Prism Company, which supplied holograms.
