Four arrested on charges of vehicle theft, two arrested on charges of iron grill
Police have arrested four vehicle thieves and two thieves for stealing iron grills of BRTS in the last few days.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Prabhjot Singh Virk said that those arrested have been identified as Ranjit Singh, resident of Mira Kot Kalan, Germanjit Singh, resident of Shahpur village, Sunny, Gagandeep Singh, resident of Adarsh Nagar. Prince, resident of Pandori Waraich village, Prince, resident of Ram Tirath Road and Surinder Kumar alias Sonu, resident of Hargobind Avenue.
The ADCP said Ranjeet, Germanjeet, Sunny and Gagandeep were involved in stealing vehicles from different parts of the city. Police recovered four bikes from them. A case of snatching was already registered against Gagandeep. He said Prince and Surinder were part of a gang that stole iron grills installed in different parts of the city. He said further investigation is underway to identify his associates to whom he sold the iron grills.
