Four councilors of Arki Nagar Panchayat submitted no-confidence motion against the Chairman

Arki. Four councilors of Arki Nagar Panchayat, under the chairmanship of former Nagar Panchayat President and Councilor Anuj Gupta, submitted a no-confidence motion to SDM Arki Yadvendra Pal against the current President of Nagar Panchayat Arki, Hemendra Gupta. These councilors said that during the one year tenure of the current president, development work has completely come to a standstill. Due to the arbitrary attitude of the Chairman, the already ongoing development works have also been stopped and the city residents are getting troubled. The councilors said that even the monthly meeting of the Nagar Panchayat has not been held since the month of August.

Not only this, the councilors have also alleged that the current president has verbally refused to call the meeting. The councilors have said this in the no-confidence motion submitted to the SDM. All of them are not satisfied with the functioning of Nagar Panchayat President Hemendra Gupta due to which they are giving no-confidence motion against him.

He has requested the Sub Divisional Officer to take appropriate steps in this regard as soon as possible. It should be noted that current President Hemendra Gupta along with former President Anuj Gupta are also supported by Congress. Former Chairman Anuj Gupta was ousted a year ago by the present Chairman through a no-confidence motion with the help of a Congress-backed councilor and two BJP-backed councilors. On this occasion, newly elected councilors Padam Kaushal, Kuldeep Sood, Ruchika Gupta, Nirmala Devi, Vinay Vashishtha, Arki Block Congress President Satish Kashyap, former president Seema Sharma, Devkali Gautam, Girdhari Lal Sharma and Shyama Kaundal and others were present.
