Four killed after tractor-trolley overturned
Saharanpur (IANS). In Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district, on Wednesday, near Bondki village of Dehat Kotwali police station area, a tractor-trolley filled with devotees went uncontrolled and overturned in the Dhamola river. In this, four people including two children were killed, while many people were injured.
The deceased were identified as Manglesh (55), Aditi (3), Tina (13) and Sulochana (58). The police reached the information and engaged in the rescue operation.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Vipin Tada said that the residents of Babli village under Gagalhedi police station area were going to Randaul village on Janta Road in a relative’s relationship in a tractor-trolley before going to the pilgrimage site of Rajasthan’s Bagad. A tractor-trolley full of devotees overturned in the river near Bondki village under Dehat Kotwali police station. In which four people died and many were injured.
The SSP said that some devotees are missing, for which a rescue operation has been launched. Along with the rescue team, the police team is also searching for the devotees. Further investigation is going on.
