Four people died, three injured after chimney collapsed at brick kiln
The tragedy occurred in District 24 of Parganas in North Bengal when four workers lost their lives and three others died in an unfortunate incident at a brick kiln in Dhaltita village of Basirhat. This incident occurred during an attempt to reactivate the oven, causing it to shut down. Barishat police confirmed the victims and said two people died while being treated at a nearby hospital, while the other two were discovered amid the debris. All the victims were employees of the brick factory. Currently, two of the injured workers are undergoing treatment at Basirhat Hospital, while the third has been shifted to RG Kar Hospital in Calcutta in a critical condition. The deceased have been identified as two persons, Jethuram and Rakesh Kumar, from Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh as well as a local resident named Hafeezul Mandal. Without knowing the identity of the fourth victim. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the chimney collapse and will launch an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
