Four people, including two transgenders, were lynched in separate cases
Hyderabad (IANS) | Four people, including two transgenders, were beaten to death in two cases of double murder in Hyderabad on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Police said that in both the cases the attackers used stones to kill the victims.
Two transgenders, aged between 25 and 30 years, were killed around 1 am in Tappachabutra police station area. The killers pelted the victims with stones. Police also found knife wounds.
The deceased have been identified as Yusuf alias Dolly and Riyaz alias Sophia. Kiran Khare, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad South West Zone, said prima facie evidence suggested that the reason was an extramarital affair.
“We are identifying and questioning the suspects,” he said.
In another incident, two persons sleeping on the footpath were beaten to death by unidentified persons in Kattedan area of Mailardevpally police station area.
Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem in both the cases and started investigation.
