Barbed Wire Assistance Scheme Farmers’ demand for area based assistance: After identifying the area in need of barbed wire, barbed wire assistance will be provided to the affected farmers of that area. Farmers are also demanding that the government should provide. Barbed wire is the first necessity in the villages of Gir region.
Then by giving importance to all the areas together and removing those districts where the need for barbed wire is very less, the farmers of the affected districts could be included under the scheme. But the state government has implemented this scheme on a uniform basis in the entire state, which the farmers are also opposing.
