From dialect to judo, she trained for her role in ‘Dahad’: Sonakshi Sinha
Mumbai (IANS) | Actress Sonakshi Sinha is basking in the success of her latest release ‘Dahad’. She said that she had to join workshops to play her role of cop Anjali Bhati. To bring authenticity to her role as a judo champion, Sonakshi left no stone unturned in her training.
Talking about her preparation for the character, Sonakshi shared: From learning a new dialect, riding a bike and even learning judo, the character came with a lot of challenges. But what I can say is that these workshops have helped me immensely to deliver better performances and relate to the character in every way.
She said: I wanted to play my character in the right way. And once the uniforms arrive, everything changes. You feel a sense of authority and power. And then that’s it, everything else falls into place.
‘Dahad’ also features Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Verma and Sohum Shah. It is currently streaming on Prime Video.
