Fungal infection can be a problem in the rain, know the advice of doctors?

Raipur. Monsoon usually covers most parts of the country by the end of June. However, in the initial days of monsoon, sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy conditions become challenging for health in many ways. With the introduction of humidity in the environment, many types of diseases also start to flourish. This season is also considered very favorable for the breeding of mosquitoes, due to which the risk of many types of mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, malaria and chikungunya increases as soon as the rains begin.Director, Epidemic Control Dr. Subhash Mishra said that In view of the changing season, all people need to take special care of their health. Even a little carelessness can make you sick. The risk of diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya, cold, cough, vomiting, diarrhoea, viral fever, fungal infection, hepatitis and typhoid increases during the rainy season.
Dr. Mishra told that the risk of many types of mosquito-borne diseases like malaria, dengue etc. increases significantly during monsoon. During the rainy season, the water filled in the pits is considered very suitable for the breeding of mosquitoes. In this season, the risk of diseases like malaria and dengue increases considerably due to the bites of infected mosquitoes. Both these diseases can be fatal if they reach serious condition. Therefore, to prevent them, mosquitoes should be prevented from flourishing. Water should not be allowed to stagnate around the house. Mosquito net should be used while sleeping. In case of problems like fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, one should not take medicines on his own, rather medicines should be taken only after consulting the doctor in the nearest health center.

One of the most prominent diseases in monsoon is common cold. It is caused by a virus that thrives in moist and humid weather. Wearing wet clothes for a long time or getting wet in rain water continuously increases the risk of cold, fever, cough and fungal infection. The extreme temperature fluctuations during the rainy season make the body more susceptible to bacterial and viral infections. It can cause seasonal cold and flu. The risk of cold and flu is seen more in people with weak immunity. To avoid these, carry an extra pair of clothes with you when you go out. Be in the fresh air instead of the air conditioner. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables and strengthen your immune system.

Beware of Hepatitis-A, Dengue and Typhoid

Director, Epidemic Control Dr. Subhash Mishra told that Hepatitis-A is mainly caused by contaminated food or water which affects the liver. It can cause fever, vomiting, body rash etc. Due to lack of adequate cleanliness, the risk of Hepatitis-A increases. That’s why it is very important to take special care of cleanliness.

Contaminated water is also the main cause of typhoid. The disease of typhoid is caused due to the accumulation of water in the rainy season due to mosquitoes and dirt. Typhoid fever bacteria can be transferred to other people through the feces and urine of infected people. To prevent typhoid and hepatitis-A, use clean drinking water. If drinking water is not safe, it should be boiled and drunk.

The rainy season has seen the highest outbreak of dengue in the last few years. The disease is spread by the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquito. Symptoms of dengue can be headache, fatigue, joint pain, low platelets, etc. On seeing any of these symptoms, one should immediately go to the nearest health center and get treated.
