Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s defamation case will be prosecuted, Ashok Gehlot gets a shock

Rajasthan. Additional Sessions Judge M.K. The case was heard in Nagpal’s court. The trial court’s summoning order was challenged in the petition filed by Gehlot. After the hearing, in its 64-page order, the Sessions Court has upheld the summons order, meaning Ashok Gehlot will now have to face trial in the defamation case. The court has rejected Gehlot’s monitoring petition. Shekhawat’s lawyer Aditya Vikram Singh said that the summons issued to Gehlot by the court on July 6 makes it clear that Gehlot is prima facie guilty in this entire case. If he is found guilty after the trial, he may face jail and his membership of the Assembly may be in danger.

Rajasthan’s acting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had repeatedly accused Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat of being involved in the Sanjeevani scam. In a public program held in Jodhpur this year, CM Gehlot had said that Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and his family were also involved in the Sanjeevani scam. After his statement, Shekhawat had filed a defamation case in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on March 3 this year, in which the Union Minister had said that the allegation was baseless. Neither his name nor any of his family members have been named in the four charge sheets presented so far. The court had issued summons to Ashok Gehlot on August 6 based on the investigation by Delhi Police. Gehlot had challenged the summons in the Revision Court, which was rejected by the court during the hearing on Wednesday, which means now the acting Chief Minister will have to face trial.
