Gamblers had gathered on the other side of the canal, 11 arrested in police raid
Dhamtari. Arjuni police has arrested 11 gamblers. Police had received information from an informer that some people are playing cards near the Palari road canal crossing in front of Aamdi liquor distillery. Upon receiving the information, immediately station in-charge Arjuni along with his staff team raided the place mentioned by the informer near the Palari road canal crossing in front of Aamdi liquor distillery and surrounded and caught the gamblers playing cards at the public place.
When 11 gamblers were caught red handed playing a game of cards called Kat Patti by betting on the win or loss with money, cash amount of Rs 23,040/-, 05 mobile phones worth Rs 23,000/-, total Rs 46040/- and 52 cards were seized from their possession and a case was registered under Section 03(2) CG Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 at Arjuni police station and legal action was taken.
