Gamblers had set up a base behind Mangal Bhavan, 13 arrested

Dhamtari: Dhamtari police raided a gambling den and arrested 13 gamblers. Police have recovered Rs 63 thousand five hundred in cash and playing cards from the gamblers. The police have taken action against everyone under the Gambling Act.

It is being told that Kotwali police had received information from an informer about some people gambling with playing cards behind Marathapara Mangal Bhavan in Dhamtari city. On information, police reached the spot, laid siege and conducted raid. During this time, the police caught 13 gamblers who were gambling. Police said that all the accused are residents of different wards of the city and action has been taken against all of them under Section 3(2) Gambling Act. However, the police say that action against gambling will continue in the city.
