Gang rape of 15 year old girl

Officials said on Tuesday that the Firozpur district police is registering a case against the accused.

The girl, who was reportedly an athlete, was going out for a run on the night of November 30 when the incident occurred, a police officer said.

He said the girl was stopped by youths from her village who allegedly forced her to consume intoxicants and then raped her.

A case has been registered against the accused, who were found to be minors, on the basis of relevant provisions of law including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
