Gang rape of sleeping woman, husband had gone out for some work

Durg: A case of gang rape of a woman has come to light in an under-construction house in Vaishali Nagar, Bhilai. An accused has been arrested on the complaint of the victim. The second accused involved in the incident is absconding and is being searched by the police. The incident took place in Vaishali Nagar police station area.

According to the information, the incident took place on the night of 18 September. The woman was sleeping in her under-construction house. The woman’s husband had gone to his village in Odisha for some work. During this time, two youths from the locality came and gang-raped the woman. After the incident, both the accused threatened and fled from the spot. When the woman’s husband returned home, the victim informed about this. After this the woman and her husband complained about this to Vaishali Nagar police station. An accused has been arrested on the complaint of the victim. Whereas, the second accused is absconding and is being searched.
