Gang rape of two tribal girls, four arrested
Ranchi (IANS). An incident of gang rape took place with two girls of tribal community in Simdega, Jharkhand. One of these girls is a minor. Police have arrested four accused of gangrape.
It is being told that this incident happened in Khamhan Bhadra forest of Simdega Sadar police station area. The police have recovered the two girls and three other girls from the forest. Police have sent all five girls for medical examination.
Sadar police station in-charge Jai Govind Gupta said that out of the five girls taken under protection, two have said that they were gang-raped. The statements of three other minor girls are suspicious, which is being confirmed.
A case has been registered against four accused on the written application of the adult victim girl. Among the accused, three are minors and one is an adult.
The adult accused has been identified as Aftab, resident of Gadgarbahar village of Thathaitangar. Three other accused will be sent to juvenile home. Police are still collecting more evidence in this case and interrogation of many people is going on.
