Gang that looted lakhs busted, 3 robbers arrested
Nawada. Police have arrested three youths of a gang who looted people visiting the Durga Puja fair in Nawada, Bihar by threatening them with weapons. Police have also recovered two country-made pistols and three live cartridges from it. The three arrested youths have admitted their involvement. Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining. Nawada DSP Ajay Prasad, while giving information to the journalists in a press conference in the city police station premises, said that during Durga Puja, some youths in the group used to snatch mobile phones and gold lockets, chains etc. at various places in the city. Secret information was received that 04-05 unknown persons were sitting in a suspicious state in the room of Arun Saav’s Satsang Bhawan located in Malgodam Chhay Road.
While taking police action, Raju Kumar father Yugal Manjhi, Dhananjay Kumar alias Spatu father Sanjay Prasad, Rahul Kumar father Ajay Singh, all three are residents of Mirzapur Nawada across the line. Police said that the arrested Raju Kumar has a criminal history. He told in his confession statement that on October 18, in Patel Nagar, his associates Rahul Kumar, father Ajay Kumar, Prince Kumar, father Mantle crossed both the lines, Mirzapur Nawada and Nakchapata father Namaloom, both Mohalla Pampu Road Nawada, by threatening them with a pistol and stabbed Hanuman Ji.
