Gang war breaking: Bullet fired inside jail, notorious criminal shot dead

Dhanbad: Notorious criminal Aman Singh, lodged in Dhanbad jail of Jharkhand, has been shot dead. This incident of gang war in the jail has created a sensation. Apart from the murder of former Deputy Mayor of Dhanbad, Neeraj Singh, Aman Singh was accused of more than a dozen incidents of betel nut killing, extortion, threat calls and extortion. He was shot six to seven times inside the jail.

After being shot, he was immediately taken to the Medical College in Dhanbad, where doctors declared him dead. Despite being in jail, Aman Singh remained synonymous with terror in Dhanbad. As soon as the news of his being shot spread in the jail, there was chaos all around.

The jail administration had to ring the bell to control the situation. As soon as the news of the incident was received, all the top officials including Dhanbad DC, SSP reached the jail.

The state police headquarters has sent a state level three-member team to Dhanbad to investigate the incident. Who shot Aman in the jail and how the weapon reached the jail is being investigated.

In the murder case of former Deputy Mayor of Dhanbad Neeraj Singh, UP STF arrested Aman Singh outside Mirzapur Jail of UP in May, 2021 and handed him over to Dhanbad Police. As soon as he came to Dhanbad jail, Aman Singh’s gang started ruling not only inside the jail but also in the entire Dhanbad coalfield. His gang started collecting extortion money from businessmen and doctors of Dhanbad and Bokaro. He had killed many people by using betel nut.

Aman Singh gang had also got Gujarat’s Valsad BJP leader Shailesh Patel murdered. His henchmen, Azamgarh resident Vaibhav Yadav and Ayodhya resident Ashish alias Satyam, along with two other shooters, had killed Shailesh Patel.

BJP leader Raju Jha of Asansol, Bengal was also murdered by Aman gang. Aman Singh gang was also accused of the murder of Rajkumar Sao, resident of Kurmidih, Barwadda, Dhanbad.

However, Dhanbad Police was again not successful in proving the allegations against Aman Singh in the court. The court had acquitted him in many cases.

Here, Jharkhand State BJP President Babulal Marandi has directly targeted the government regarding the murder incident in the jail. He wrote on social media I have been saying from the very beginning that when the jailed criminals, brokers, middlemen, together with the officials and those in power, will run the government and make recovery through mobile phones from the jail itself, then how will the crime be reduced? When the head of the state protects the criminals and gets them recovered, provides them all the comforts and facilities in the jail and runs the government, then weapons will definitely reach the jail.”
