Ganiyari double murder: IG announces reward for information

Durg. The police have not yet been able to arrest the accused in the double murder that took place in Ganiyari of Durg district. Now after one and a half months, IG Ramgopal Garg has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for anyone giving information about the accused. The family members of the deceased also reached Ganiyari to meet the IG office. According to the information, Rajwati Sahu (62) and her granddaughter Maya alias Savita Sahu (17) were murdered on March 7 in Ganiyari village of Pulgaon police station area. Police have investigated from many angles, but could not get any success. However, some investigation reports of forensic experts are yet to come.

After the announcement of the reward by the IG, ASP Durg City, ASP Crime, CSP Durg, DSP Crime and Pulgaon police station in-charge have made their numbers public. In which any person can give information by calling. Actually, on Thursday the family reached the IG office located at 32 Bungalow, Bhilai. Where the application has been given and demand has been made to take immediate action in the case and arrest the accused. Durg Range IG Ram Gopal Garg said that the family members came to meet him and asked to speed up the action. To which we said that our team is continuously engaged. Efforts are being made to confirm the suspicions of some people. Some forensic reports are yet to come. As soon as the report comes, further action will be taken on the basis of its facts.
