Ganja worth 50 lakh seized from Honda City, Bhilai’s youth arrested for smuggling
Mahasamund. Police has taken major action against the Ganja smuggler. According to the information, the police received information from the informer that a large consignment of illegal drug Ganja from Bargarh Odisha is going to be taken to Maharashtra via Mahasamund from Odisha to Raipur via Chhattisgarh in a silver colored Honda City car. On which immediately the Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh directed the police station in-charge and cyber cell team to take quick action and by deploying force at all the points entering Mahasamund district, the suspicious vehicle was being investigated, then Bargarh towards Odisha. A silver colored Honda City number MH 06 AL 1698 was coming towards Mahasamund. According to the informer, NH-53 road reached near Rehtikhol village, which was stopped by siege.
01 person was found riding in the vehicle, on asking the name and address, the person gave his name (01) Deepak Sahu father Manthir Sahu age 27 years. On questioning the accused about the ganja, tell him to bring it from Orissa and take it to Maharashtra for sale. Action was taken against the accused under section 20(b) of the NDPS Act at Police Station Singhoda for transporting ganja in large quantities.
