Ganja worth two crore rupees recovered, a smuggler arrested
Hazaribagh. Hazaribagh district police of Jharkhand conducted a raid on Friday and recovered ganja worth Rs 2 crore. A smuggler has been arrested in this case, while his other accomplice absconded.
SP Arvind Kumar Singh said that on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted in Kood village under Katkamdag police station area of the district. Here in a house, 2 quintals of 800 grams of ganja was kept packed in different packets.
Headquarters DSP Neeraj was leading the raiding team. The international market value of the recovered ganja is said to be Rs 2 crore. Police have arrested Rinku Ansari alias Shahzad Alam of Kood village and sent him to jail under the NDPS Act. His associate Mahtab alias Lucky absconded.
