New Delhi: Just before Rakshabandhan, the Narendra Modi government at the Center has given a big relief to the customers on inflation. Actually, the government has announced a subsidy of Rs 200 on LPG gas cylinders. It has been approved in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. More than 33 crore customers will get the benefit of this discount. Informing about the cabinet’s decision, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the price of gas cylinder will be reduced by Rs 200 for all consumers. Anurag Thakur said that after this decision of the cabinet, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will now get a total subsidy of Rs 400. Explain that under the Ujjwala scheme, the beneficiaries already get a subsidy of Rs 200. Under the Ujjwala scheme, gas connections have been given to 9 crore 60 lakh families so far. This scheme was considered a gamechanger behind the BJP’s bumper victory in the 2019 elections and once again the Modi government is expected to benefit from it.
