Raipur: Two accused who committed the murder have been arrested. On the incident date of 26.10.2023, at around 06:20 pm, the applicant and his companion Vijay Nirmalkar were going home, when Bitthu alias Mithlesh Verma and Jaiprakash Verma were sitting near the pond, then both of them were again explaining to them that the applicant’s wife was not allowed to use WhatsApp. By not chatting, both Bithu Verma and Jaiprakash Verma started abusing the mother and sister by saying that you guys are becoming more intelligent. On refusing to abuse, Bittu Verma hit the applicant with a sharp object, threatening to kill him. The companion ran away after hitting Vijay Nirmalkar in the stomach, above his right waist and in his right thigh. The injured applicant Vijay Nirmalkar was admitted to the hospital for treatment, on which a crime was registered against the accused in Khamtarai police station. Vijay Nirmalkar, injured during treatment, died today at around 07:30 am.
Under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Khamtarai police station started interrogating the people nearby including the applicant in connection with the incident and started locating the accused. The team members are continuously conducting raids in every possible hiding place of the accused and arresting the accused Mithlesh Verma alias Bittu and Jai Prakash Verma, who were involved in the case, and taking legal action against them.
