Gaza: Two journalists, including the son of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael al-Dahdouh, were killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza’s Khan Yunis on Sunday, the media reported.
Among the dead were Mustafa Thuriya, a video stringer for the AFP news agency, and Hamza Wael Dahdouh, a journalist for the Al Jazeera television network.
According to Al Jazeera, they were killed when the car they were traveling in was hit by an Israeli missile.
Wael al-Dahdouh, considered by many across the Arab world to be the face of Al Jazeera’s Gaza coverage, lost his wife, daughter, another son and a grandson after they were killed in an Israeli airstrike in October 2023.
In December, 2023, Wael was injured in an Israeli attack that killed his colleague Samir Abudaka.
