Gender testing center busted in Gohana, 3 including quack doctor arrested
Gohana. Late night in village Mudlana of Gohana, health department teams from three districts, Hisar-Sonipat-Rohtak, busted a gang involved in abortion and fetal testing. Jhola Chaap doctor in village Mudlana who opened a clinic and a shop selling medicines. The team has arrested the Jhola Chhap doctor, the center operator and the husband of the victim woman, a resident of Jagsi village, who runs a shop selling medicines, while the broker is still absconding.
The accused also tried to run the bike over the team of doctors. Even before this, the accused had gone to jail in a similar case and after coming out on bail, he was running his shop in Mudlana village. This network has been caught with the information of a woman who came here three months ago to get tested. In fact, in the month of July, a quack doctor named Sandeep had examined the penis of a pregnant woman from Rohtak in village Mudlana. In the gender test, the accused had confirmed that the pregnancy was a girl. Mother-in-law and husband forced her to abort the baby after finding out that it was a girl in the womb. But the woman refused to get her abortion done. After that her husband and mother-in-law harassed her and beat her badly.
Hurt by the assault on the woman, she went to her maternal home. After he was beaten by his parents, he was admitted to a government hospital. When the team of Health Department of Hisar got information about this, they met the victim woman and got her counselling. On the behest of the victim woman, the health team of Hisar along with the police conducted a raid in village Mudlana along with the health team of Rohtak and Sonipat districts late night. The accused reached Sandeep’s clinic on the spot, but he was not found there. But abortion materials and insects used for abortion were also recovered there.
The team caught the associate of accused Sandeep from the spot who was present at his clinic at that time. The team arrested accused Sandeep who is a resident of village Jagsi. He was caught from his village and the woman’s husband has also been arrested. The Health Department has lodged an FIR against the broker named Dev Jangra from Dalal district, who is currently out of police custody. Accused Sandeep neither got any degree nor got the license to run a medicine store.
