Godhan NYAY Yojana: Paving the path to dignity and prosperity for Ram Bakas
Surajpur. Ram Bakas serves as the caretaker of the Gauthan located in Nawaparakala of Premnagar development block. He and his family reside in a quarter of cattle herders within the Gauthan. He owns a total of 0.13 hectares of land, two cows, and two calves. Shri Ram Bakas diligently collects cow dung not only from the cattle at the Gauthan but also from his own cattle and the crossroads of the village. Since the inception of the Godhan NYAY Yojana, he has managed to sell a remarkable 358.18 quintals of cow dung, earning a substantial sum of Rs 71,636.
With the earnings, Shri Ram Bakas wisely invested in buying a pair of oxen and also made improvements to his land to enhance farming capabilities. Additionally, he actively engages in cultivating vegetables within the Gauthan. Thanks to the government’s welfare scheme, his family’s quality of life has significantly improved, and they are now living a happier life. Shri Ram Bakas proudly stated that the Godhan NYAY Yojana has brought about positive changes in their living standards, and as a result, they take care of the Gauthan with the same devotion and responsibility as they would for their own home.
