Godrej Industries signs MoU with Gujarat government for Rs 600 crore expansion
New Delhi: Godrej Industries Ltd (Chemicals Division) has announced that the company has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat, the company announced through an exchange filing on Thursday.
As part of the MoU, the company plans to invest Rs 600 crore on significant expansion in Walia employing around 250 people over the next four years. The signing, held in the presence of CM Bhupendra Patel, reinforces Gujarat’s commitment. Industrial development and skilled workforce.
The MoU sets the stage for expansion in Walia where Godrej Industries already has a manufacturing facility. Located in Bharuch district of Gujarat, the facility manufactures diverse oleo chemical products derived from organic materials. These products serve multiple market segments such as personal care, pharmaceuticals and food industries.
