Government’s preparation to celebrate Constitution Day
Delhi : Every year 26 November is celebrated as Constitution Day in India. Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26 November to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India to highlight the ideals and principles espoused by it and to pay respect and gratitude to the contributions of our founding fathers.
To celebrate Constitution Day, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India has invited all citizens to participate in the Constitution Quiz and online reading of the Preamble. To ensure maximum public participation, the Ministry has launched two web portals. Arrangements have been made for online reading of the Preamble of the Constitution in 22 official languages and English, while an online quiz has also been kept on the topic ‘India – Mother of Democracy’.
These portals are available to everyone and anyone can participate and receive a certificate of participation. The certificates thus prepared can also be posted on social media platforms using the hashtag Constitution Day.
