Governor awarded medals to 50 personnel of various services on Republic Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das on Friday presented medals to 50 personnel of the state police, fire brigade, civil defence, home guards and jail for their distinguished services on the occasion of Republic Day. The Governor presented Police Medals for Gallantry to 3 SOG personnel and one DVF personnel for successful operations against Maoists at a glittering state level award presentation ceremony in Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was also present.

President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service to two personnel, Police Medal for Meritorious Service to 11, Governor’s Medal to 20 from 2023, Fire Service Medal for Gallantry to one, Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service to two, Home Guard and Civil Safety medals were awarded. At the ceremony, Governor’s Medal was awarded to 3 personnel, Governor’s Medal for 2023 to two and Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service to 5 personnel.
