Governor’s address in English, Bhupesh Baghel expressed objection
Raipur. The proceedings of the second day of the winter session of Chhattisgarh Assembly have started. The MLAs also chanted Jai Shri Ram. Starting his address in English in the House, Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan said that I heartily welcome and congratulate all the newly elected members in the first session of the sixth assembly of Chhattisgarh state.
He said that I greet you as a newly elected assembly member in this sacred temple of democracy. I also express my respect for the great Constitution, constitutional-democratic values and ideal traditions of our country, due to which I have got the opportunity to address you in this House today.
During the Governor’s address, former CM Bhupesh Baghel raised objection regarding English. He said that no one is understanding English. Therefore the speech should be considered read. Meanwhile, the opposition started creating ruckus on the issue of farmer suicide and bonus of Rs 2 lakh.
