Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the government is positive about the demands of the RTC workers with the idea of resolving the strike related to RTC workers and not causing any problems to the passengers. Speaking on this matter, Minister Ponnam said that there may be some delay in taking decisions on the demands of the RTC workers. A committee of four officials has been formed to examine all the issues raised by the RTC workers.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that if all the RTC representatives present their points to the committee, I will sit with the government, get a report from the officials and solve the problems. 65 lakh passengers, including the poor people of rural areas, travel to various places in buses every day for employment. This bus journey is for the poor. As lifeline employees, you and the government have the responsibility to ensure that the people do not face any problems.
We will look after the protection of the RTC organization, the welfare of employees, and the convenience of passengers. Please raise your problems with the committee of officers without any arguments. The government is committed to resolving those problems, he said.
