Granite fell on two brothers due to negligence of truck driver, FIR registered
Mahasamund. Mahasamund. While unloading granite from a truck in Police Line Parasada of Mahasamund police station area, the driver suddenly moved the truck forward and the granite fell on two brothers riding in the truck, injuring both the brothers. Police has registered a case against the truck driver. Baleshwar Chandrakar, father Gopi Ram Chandrakar, resident of Ward No. 22 Subhash Nagar Mahasamund, has told in his complaint to the police that on 24 February, Baleshwar Chandrakar and his brother Balram Chandrakar and companions were called by J.P.H. Construction’s clerk Virendra Sahu to unload the granite slabs loaded in truck no. AP 07 TH 5749 in village Parasada Police Line on the instructions of their contractor Tushar Verma and Jitendra Sahu.
In which Baleshwar Chandrakar and his brother Balram Chandrakar and their companions had gone to unload the granite slabs. Baleshwar Chandrakar and his brother Balram Chandrakar were in the truck and taking out the granite slabs from the truck and giving them to their porters. Then the driver of the truck suddenly started the vehicle and moved it forward at a high speed, due to which the granite kept in the truck suddenly fell on Baleshwar and his brother Balram Chandrakar, due to which Baleshwar and his brother suffered serious injuries in their legs and the leg bone broke. After the accident, they were taken to the District Hospital Mahasamund, from where after first aid, they were admitted to Shri Akal Purakh Hospital Mahasamund. After receiving a complaint in the case, the police have registered a case against the accused truck driver under 279-IPC, 337-IPC.
