In Chakeri, Kanpur, a grocery businessman has accused his daughter of breaking into his house and robbing him of Rs 23 lakh. According to Narendra Gupta, a grocery businessman resident of Ahirwan, on November 10, due to Dhanteras, he had gone to Naveen Market with his wife Rashmi and younger daughter Navya for shopping. Elder daughter Nyasa, an intermediate student, was alone in the house. Narendra told that at around 12.20 in the night, two youths posing as online food delivery boys reached the house on the pretext of placing an order and looted lakhs of rupees from the house.
It was told that the businessman’s daughter had refused to take the order, but the accused forcibly entered his house. Then the accused took the daughter hostage and threatened to kill her by placing a screwdriver around her neck. After this, the accused took the keys from the daughter and looted Rs 3.50 lakh cash and jewelery worth Rs 20 lakh kept in the locker.
