Group clash erupts in Bhubaneswar, 2 youths critically injured

Bhubaneswar: A clash between two groups erupted on Friday in Chintamaneswar Talasahi under the Laxmisagar police station in Bhubaneswar, leaving two young men seriously injured. According to police sources, approximately 15 assailants allegedly launched a sudden attack on two local youths with sharp weapons.
The injured youths sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be critical. Initial information suggests the clash may have stemmed from a long-standing rivalry between the two groups.
Police suspect that a dispute related to a New Year’s celebration escalated into violence, leading to the gang attack. Following the incident, Laxmisagar police arrived at the scene and launched a thorough investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the attack.
Security has been heightened in the area to prevent further violence, while police are questioning locals to ascertain the exact sequence of events.
The injured youths have been identified as Badal and Rudra, both residents of Chintamaneswar Lane 11. The clash between the two groups is believed to have originated from a dispute over a New Year’s party.
During the attack, the assailants struck the victims on the head and also targeted their hands and legs. The accused involved in the attack have been identified as Gopi Raut, Shitu, Raja, and Bulla, all residents of the same locality.
No comment was available from the local police regarding the incident.
