Group of CRPF jawans saved the life of the pregnant woman, both including the newborn are healthy
Bijapur: CRPF jawans posted in the Naxal area of the district became angels for the woman and her newborn child. The jawans helped the premature baby and his mother cross the overflowing river with the help of drums and ply, then admitted both of them to the hospital. Both the mother and the child are safe due to timely treatment.
The case is of Nambi village of Usoor Block of the district. Madvi Jagi of this village was suffering from labor pain. Gradually the pain was increasing. The problem was how to take her to the hospital. Because the river was in spate due to rain. Meanwhile, Madvi delivered prematurely.
After giving birth to the child, her health started deteriorating. The river was in spate, so the family was not able to take her to the hospital. The news of this was received by the soldiers of CRPF-196 and Cobra Battalion. After which the soldiers planned to rescue the woman. They tied a rope by holding each other’s hands from one end of the river to the other. Then they prepared a makeshift boat by tying plywood on top of two plastic drums.
