Gujarat: Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma worshiped Somnath Mahadev

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with his wife reached the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev. Seeing Devadhidev Somnath Mahadev, he felt blessed. At the same time, he anointed Somnath Mahadev and offered worship material. The Chief Minister of Assam also performed Someshwar Mahapuja of Somnath Mahadev in Somnath. Hemant Biswa Sharma was worshiped by the head priest of the Somnath temple with different substances according to the scriptures. The Somnath Trust honored the Chief Minister of Assam by presenting a memento of Somnath Mahadev.

At the same time, when he gave historical information after visiting the historical arrow pillar in Somnath, then centuries ago, he expressed his anger on the cultural identity due to the accurate mention of South Pole and sea routes in Indian philosophy.

Vastra Prasad and Maha Prasad were distributed in total 8 districts

It is notable that earlier Somnath Trust had distributed Vastra Prasad and Mahaprasad on Mahashivaratri in total 8 districts including Jamnagar, Surendranagar, Botad, Kutch, Patan, Mahisagar, Kheda, Narmada. Then on the monthly Shivratri of Phagan month, this distribution program was organized in 4 more districts of the state, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Porbandar and Vadodara. In which the Somnath Trust contacted the collectors and officers of the districts and distributed Somnath Mahadev’s Vastra Prasad and Mahaprasad in advance.

Sarees offered to Mata Parvati were distributed to mothers and sisters.

Somnath Trust has so far distributed clothes dedicated to Somnath Mahadev in 12 districts of the state, as well as clothes dedicated to Somnath Mahadev and Prasad of Somnath, chikki and laddus, pant-shirt pieces to elders, youths and Sarees offered to Maa Parvati were distributed to the mothers and sisters. Before every Shivratri festival, this Manavata Sabhar Vastraprasad Seva is specially organized by the Somnath Trust in coordination with the district administration. On the other hand, Somnath Mahadev’s Vastra Prasad and Chiki Prasad are delivered to the designated places by the administration. Somnath Trust will also distribute Vastra Prasad and Maha Prasad in coordination with the administration in other districts of the state every month on Shivratri in future.
