Gujarat: Understanding the value of water, saving water for the future is everyone’s moral duty: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has clearly said that it is everyone’s moral duty to understand the value of water and save water for the future. Not only this, he has also called for speeding up the Green Revolution by expanding the scope of drip irrigation system for more farming and irrigation with less water. The Chief Minister was felicitated by the Gujarat State Udvahan Piyat Sahakari Sangh in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, to which he responded with this inspiring call. Representatives of more than 286 Udvan Piyat cooperative societies from all the 33 districts of the state participated in this felicitation programme.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government has started Udvahan Piyat Sahakari, including Lift Irrigation and Drip Irrigation, to increase the efficiency of irrigation schemes and to increase irrigation facilities in areas with less water facilities and to develop infrastructural facilities. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was felicitated on behalf of the Gujarat State Udvahan Piyat Sahakari Sangh for the generous approach shown to the congregations.
